These terms apply to all Rainbow Maths Online lessons
Terms and Conditionsfor One-to-One Online Lessons
Punctuality:
Students are requested to join their lessons on time.
If a student joins late, the teacher will conduct the lesson only for the remaining scheduled time.
No-Show Policy:
If a student does not join the lesson, the teacher will wait for 15 minutes.
Evidence of the no-show (e.g., a screenshot of the timer and date) will be recorded, and the lesson will be considered as completed and paid.
Cancellation Policy:
Parents must inform the teacher at least 2 hours in advance if the student cannot attend a lesson.
If the parent does not inform the teacher within this time frame, the lesson will be considered as completed and paid, and no refund will be available.
Behaviour Policy:
During lessons, students are expected to use respectful language and behaviour. If inappropriate behavior occurs, the teacher will inform the student about the issue and may leave the lesson. In such cases, the lesson will still be considered as completed and paid.
Camera Use Policy:
Students are required to keep their camera on during lessons. For students who are shy about showing their face, we kindly request the camera be adjusted to focus on their work (e.g., Abacus tool, Rubik’s Cube) so the teacher can provide proper guidance. This policy applies specifically to Abacus and Rubik’s Cube lessons.
Parental Supervision:
Parents are encouraged to supervise younger children during lessons to ensure a smoother experience.
Parents should not actively participate in the lesson unless requested by the teacher. Feedback from parents is welcome but must be shared respectfully.
Certificates and Recognition:
Certificates are awarded to students who actively participate in the lessons, complete all mock tests, finish assigned homework, and share their progress with the teacher.
Recording Policy:
One-to-one lessons are not recorded. However, short pre-recorded lessons may be provided for students if needed. Parents and students are strictly prohibited from recording lessons, taking screenshots, or sharing lesson links with others or on social media.
Consequences of Policy Violation:
If a parent or student is found recording or capturing lesson content, a warning will be issued.
Repeated violations may result in the student being removed from the program without a refund. Any misuse of recordings or lesson links may lead to exclusion from future lessons and further actions as deemed necessary.
Code of Conduct for Parents:
Parents are expected to maintain respectful communication with teachers and adhere to all policies outlined in these terms and conditions.
Technical Requirements:
Students must have a stable internet connection, a working camera, and necessary materials such as an Abacus or Rubik’s Cube, as applicable. We appreciate your cooperation in maintaining a respectful, secure, and productive learning environment for all.
Terms and Conditionsfor Recordings
Rainbow Maths teachers do not record Rubik’s Cube or Chess online lessons. However, to support students with learning and revision, teachers may provide short pre-recorded videos following the lessons.
For Abacus Group Mental Maths lessons, teachers may record sessions (group lessons only) with the prior consent of all parents and students in the group. Parents and students will always be informed in advance when a lesson is being recorded. These recordings are shared exclusively within the group and remain available for rewatching for 7-10 days, after which they are permanently deleted. While we do not share recordings publicly on social media, there may be occasions when short videos are shared on the Rainbow Maths YouTube channel or social media platforms. Such sharing will only occur with the explicit consent of parents and students. Teachers may also capture screenshots of lesson activities for educational purposes, ensuring that no videos or identifiable images of students are included.
We kindly request that parents and students refrain from taking screenshots, recording lessons, or sharing lesson links with others or on social media. If a parent or student is found recording or capturing lesson content, a warning will be issued. Repeated violations may result in the student being removed from lessons without a refund. Additionally, any misuse of recordings or lesson links may result in further actions, including exclusion from future lessons.
