Why It’s Great to Be an Abacus Mental Maths Teacher:

Being an Abacus Mental Math teacher is incredibly rewarding. With the growing popularity of Abacus, there are more opportunities than ever for teachers. Abacus is becoming recognized for its ability to improve concentration, memory, and problem-solving skills in children. As a teacher, you can offer online lessons, teach after-school programs, or even open your own centre. With the increasing demand for these skills, there’s a lot of room for growth and impact in this field!

Why It’s Great for Parents to Do Abacus Lessons:

For parents, teaching Abacus is a wonderful way to support your child's learning journey. We understand that not all kids can sit for online lessons, and some parents prefer to teach their children themselves. Abacus lessons help children develop focus, discipline, and mental math skills, all of which benefit their overall academic growth. Plus, parents can enjoy spending quality time with their children while building their confidence in math. It’s a great way to create a fun learning experience at home!

FAQs

1. From what age can I be trained as an Abacus teacher?

We recommend starting Abacus teacher training from age 18. However, we have successfully trained individuals as young as 16, and some young teens have completed the program and now lead afterschool programs or teach from home or online.

2. What do I need to bring for my lessons?

All worksheets, flashcards, and learning materials will be provided in PDF format by our institution. You will need to print the Rainbow Maths worksheets and any additional materials provided by your Rainbow Maths trainer for practice.

3. How long does it take to complete the full Abacus training program?

The duration varies for each individual. Students can choose to take 2-4 lessons per week, depending on their learning pace. Completing all worksheets independently is essential for success. On average, the program takes 20-24 lessons to complete.

4. I’ve started the training but feel that this is not for me. What should I do?

If you’re unsure about enrolling in the full training, we suggest starting with our Junior Level Training, a 1-2 day course that covers the basics. This will help you decide if the full training is the right fit for you.

5. I have paid for the full Abacus Teacher Training. Is there a refund policy?

No, we do not offer refunds due to the commitment and time planned by our teachers for each participant. Please ensure you are fully ready before enrolling.

6. If I need a break from training, what should I do?

We allow students who are enrolled in the full Abacus program to take a break of up to 2 lessons free of charge, but we kindly ask for at least 1 day's notice before taking a break.

7. How many free cancellations do I have in the full teacher training program?

Students are allowed to cancel 2 lessons for free. Any additional missed lessons will still be charged, with no refunds. We strongly recommend that individuals carefully consider their schedule before committing to the program.
